They come from
Chad, Mexico and Somalia
Vietnam, Sudan and Myanmar

Women who love and laugh
Children who giggle and play
Men who dream and plan

They come from
Afghanistan, Congo and Iraq
Uganda, Burma and Ethiopia

Women who teach and sew
Children who run and squeal
Men who plant and harvest

Women who need to know
Children who need to hear
Men who need to believe that
They matter.
They matter to me.
They matter to God.

Women who cook and clean
Children who learn and sing
Men who provide and protect
